The Team Behind Mt. Carmel Co-Owners Sharon Hincks and Juliane Pfeifer
Fun fact: We’re cousins! We grew up together, attended different schools, then both graduated from Oregon State University (Go Beavs!). Sharon earned her BS in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood focus, while Juliane holds a BS in Business/Merchandising Management—giving us the ideal mix of heart and know-how.
As moms to a combined six children who all grew up in our programs, we deeply understand parents’ trust. We hire warm, knowledgeable teachers who respect each child’s individuality, collaborate with families, and meet Oregon standards: CPR/First Aid certified, 15+ annual training hours, and full compliance with annual Health/Fire/Child Care Division inspections and monitoring.
Sharon Hincks and Juliane Pfeifer are co-owners and co-directors of Mt. Carmel Preschool & Daycare. We started in Sharon’s home as a certified family childcare, expanded in 2001 to infant care in the downstairs of Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, and added the Annex location in 2018 for toddlers and preschoolers—creating two connected, nurturing spaces that feel like family.
